How To Clean A Stainless Steel Fridge

You finally bought that pretty Refrigerator that you seen at your local home improvement store, but you don’t know how to keep those pesky fingerprints off of it. Well, this article will give you all the dos and don’ts for cleaning a Stainless Steel Fridge using products that most individuals already have stocked in their home.

Before you start the process of cleaning your Stainless Steel Refrigerator we need to address what should never be done and that is:

We should NEVER use abrasive cleaners and tools. Like Ajax, Bleach, SOS Pads and anything else with a harsh surface. The use of these items will damage the metal of your lovely Refrigerator and leave many nasty and permanent scratches and that’s a big no-no!

Now that we have that out of the way, we can focus on what we should do:

The easiest way of cleaning a Stainless Steel Refrigerator is to simply use a damp terry cloth with water. You should start out by spreading the cloth in a side to side motion across the refrigerator. Then with a dry paper towel follow the same path to dry the Refrigerator off.

Now if you notice that your Refrigerator is still not clean enough, or there is still some of those pesky fingerprints lingering, then you may need to use a mild detergent or a glass cleaner like Windex to remove those marks.

For this method, we should use a mild detergent, just like the one you would use to wash your everyday dishes in. Apply the detergent to a damp terry cloth. Then start out by spreading the cloth in a side to side motion, across the Refrigerator. Remember to pay close attention to grease spots and fingerprints. Now finish up by drying the entire refrigerator off with a simple dry paper towel.

Now after your Refrigerator is totally clean, you have the choice to leave it like that or, you can make it pop with a bold shine. You can achieve this by adding Baby or Olive oil to the Refrigerator. You should apply the oil in the same manner as the detergent; in a side to side motion. You will also complete this step off by drying the entire Refrigerator with a dry paper towel.

Looks like you’re all set! You’re Refrigerator is now the talk of the Kitchen with it’s glowing beauty and streak free shine!
